1401 Midtown
reno revival
Boasting a plethora of quirky, contemporary eateries, nightlife and locally owned retail businesses, Midtown District is the heart and soul of an emerging cultural identity currently sweeping the city. With the exposed original brick walls, rooftop decks, and urban-style lighting and landscaping throughout the property, 1401 Midtown offers an opportunity to shop, work, and live in one of the city’s most thriving and promising neighborhoods directly on Virginia Street, Reno’s main boulevard.
The renovations at 1401 S. Virginia Street transformed the 60-year-old building and lot into Midtown’s first urban community. The building was expanded from 9,000 to 21,827 sq. ft. of commercial retail and 12,800 sq. ft. of new single family lofts for a total of 24,623 sq. ft. of mixed use product. 1401 Midtown contains 8,000 sq. ft. of professional office space, 4,600 sq. ft. of retail and 5,200 sq. ft. of multiple restaurants and bars and three apartment rooftop lofts within the existing brick structure. Also to truly make the project a modern work/live mixed use project, eight new contemporary single-family loft homes have been built onsite for rent or sale. All of this new and existing is wrapped around a newly developed 2,000 sq. ft. Plaza for outside gathering and dining.
